I was going to re-watch Marty, but watched this instead. What a surprise to hear Marty mentioned throughout the film. It was basically Marty, but with some humor. Definitely not the caliber of Marty. Some quirky characters and only a little "what do you want to do tonight?" Not as satisfying an ending as Marty, either.
The question of why would anyone do a remake of Marty was put in this. Good question.
