Review of I Vitelloni (1953) by Rhys R — 25 Jun 2012
If you're just starting out with Fellini and you're not quite sure where to begin then start with this one.
The film contains many of the themes he would continue to explore in his later works only without the surrealism.
A funny and touching portrayal of five young inhabitants of a sleepy costal town in post-war Italy who have never worked a day in their lives, we follow them as they come of age and learn about adulthood, parenthood and responsability with varying degrees of success.
