Review of I Know Where I'm Going (2009) by Nate W — 30 Jun 2009
I Know Where I'm Going is one of the finest romances to ever grace the silver screen. Powell & Pressburger use the glorious Scottish Isles as their backdrop for this classic tale of a determined woman who falls for a different man.
One of the most amazing aspects of the film is that it's cinematographer never used a light meter for the outdoor scenes. The end result is unusual, unexpected, and fascinating to watch. I Know Where I'm Going is a classic that deserves to be mentioned alongside other essential romantic films such as Casablanca and Brief Encounter.
