Review of The Big Short (2015) by Nate W — 28 Apr 2016
Adam McKay does a great job taking a convoluted subject and turning it into a very comprehensible film. All actors do a great job, especially Bale, Carell and Gosling, and the directing is unique with it's cutaways.
This film is both funny and fascinating, and while I realize a lot of it is compressed and dramatized, the fact that this is all true (by Hollywood standards, but still this happened to some degree) is stunning.
