Alright, so it's no "Greek Wedding" sequel, nor does it come close to matching the charm of "Connie and Carla," but there's something about a Nia Vardalos flick that refuses a total thumbs down.
Maybe it's her determined writer/director/actress work ethic that allows this mediocre romantic comedy to keep its head above water. Props should be given where due-- and Vardalos, you made a simple and quirky indie in 18 days on a shoestring budget.
Not bad, not great... nonetheless, it's good to have you back.
