Review of I Feel Pretty (2018) by Irina Z — 20 Apr 2018
Powerful and meaningful message to anyone who might be experienced or has a low self-esteem as either being a female, male, overweight, underweight, old, young, not blessed with external looks, etc. The inner beauty is embraced in this movie and it should be a vehicle in someone's life, not the superficial exterior shell that someone receives from the birth.
The societal standards and definitions of a beauty is not a reflection of real people, especially in beauty industries. They represent only tiny fractions of people, and the majority people are supposed to be measured by that? In this movie, it was a sarcastic representation of how good looking models and wealthy people are disconnected from the reality of millions of others who were not blessed with looks and fortune.
Great job of delivering a very important message to those who are doubting themselves based on their external factors instead of embracing their internal beauty. Great Job Amy!
