Review of I Feel Pretty (2018) by Peggy D — 20 Apr 2018

I really don't understand these reviews. I Feel Pretty was funny, smart, and completely engaging. I loved the speech after the bikini contest, the date in the park, the ending (of course). As for the people saying the premise is unrealistic... what? The way she GOT her miracle is unrealistic, the the way we're drawn to people because of their insane confidence- that's fact. I've taught high school for more than 20 years and popularity fascinatates me. Sure, part of it is based on looks & money & talent & family history... but by far, the common denominator is confidence. Renee breaks the code wide open.

PS- it's a romantic comedy. If the reviewers were hoping for Citizen Kane, I guess that's on them.
