I chose not to see this movie in the theaters because of the poor reviews. I finally watched it after two friends said it was great. Amy Schumer is funny, the story flows, it has meaningful comments on society's influence on self-perception, and Michelle Willams masters a weird voice.
It's great! I Feel Pretty is a comedy that is actually funny and I am surprised other reviewers weren't happy with this alone. If this was a dude movie with a bunch of low-end poop jokes and dysfunctional males with no character development critics would be giving it 5 stars.
