Review of I, Daniel Blake (2016) by James%20 L — 14 Jun 2017
I, Daniel Blake could have been a better film if it was not a leftist propaganda vehicle. Social Services may not be perfect system. there is good things and bad things about that, that can be pointed out debated about witch this film fails to do. Daniel Blake's was potrayed like Jesus like character witch I found unconvincing I also believe this character put himself in some situations he could have simply avoided. I do believe being to right and to left can be a dangerous thing and there you should be balance and this film fails at it. I have to admit there were a few touching moments in the film but not enough to like it entirely.
I believe this film only won the Palm D'Or at Cannes because the Jury probably decided in there minds it was a politically right thing to do and not because it was a great film.
