Though I, and the United States, are late to the party with this movie, it is thankfully a timeless work. I fail to see how anyone can walk away from this movie without being impacted, or at least reaffirmed.
Simple, charming, firmly grounded in reality, and speaking to all without singling out anyone, I, Daniel Blake offers its teachable moments without judgment, which will unfortunately be relevant when looking at the past, present, and future of everyday citizens.
