Review of I Could Never Be Your Woman (2007) by Kimberly P — 30 Mar 2008
Wow.
How far the mighty have fallen...
Sometimes you see a movie and go "Well, gee, that wasn't so bad - how did that wind up going Direct to Video? That's unfair!".
This is not that film.
Now, I can only assume that there was no finishing $$$ put into this movie, at a certain point; once they made the decision to go DTV, they just put it out there.
But it feels/looks horrible. Clunky editing, photography, even acting at times.
A shame, given the caliber of talent before (Pfeiffer, Rudd) and behind (Heckerling) the camera.
The stuff w/Tracey Ullman's greek chorus character was nigh-insufferable, and so poorly shot and egregiously tacked on, I wanted to strangle the movie.
