Review of I Confess (1953) by Paavo L — 09 Apr 2009
Great acting, direction, lighting, and photography. A gripping tale that makes you acheing to see justice done. Montgomery Clift does a very good job in one of his earliest roles as the priest who is framed for murder because he cannot tell who the murderer is due to the killer confessing to him.
The way the investigation unfolds is realistic and intriguing and the story has many twists and revelations. One of Hitchcock's more underappreciated in my opinion.
