Review of I Confess (1953) by Familiar S — 11 Apr 2013
A priest who hers the confession of a murderer soon finds himself the prime suspect of his crime. This film has its dull moments but is nevertheless among Hitchcock's darkest thrillers, and is very compelling in dealing with a delicate theme such as religion.
Montgomery Clift's performance as the troubled priest is intense and ambiguous.
