Review of I Confess (1953) by Katie R — 14 Jun 2007
This is a great Hitchcock movie. Its basis is the inviolable seal of the confessional which makes for great amounts of suspense. It is also a way of seeing the Church the way she was preceding the reforms of the sixties.
Clift's performance is very convincing as the conflicted priest.
