Review of I Confess (1953) by Jard M — 28 Dec 2011
Another Hitchcock film I stumbled upon which I liked, but not as much as some of his others. The antagonist in this movie is so damned annoying, I don't know whether that is a good thing or not, but it does raise an interesting point of how far can the rules of confessional go and I guess the real story here isn't the murder but the relationship between Clift and Baxter's character and the murder victim.
It all unravels and it's pretty entertaining although I wouldn't put it at the top of my favourite Hitchcock films, although that's nothing to really be ashamed of.
