Review of I Am Omega (2007) by Richard B — 04 May 2008
For a low-buget film, this is a fair enough re-imagining of Heston's original, but it lacks content and misses several great opportunities. However, Dacasos' portrayal of 'the last man on earth' is comparable to Will Smith's recent attempt, and manages to give him a believable motivation.
The zombie-lepers are much better in this film than the, 'Mummy Returns' CGI versions of Will Smith's, and with just a little more thought, I am Omega could have been a really good film. As it is, its okay.
Give it a watch, then go back to the 1971 version.
