Review of I Am Love (2010) by Forrest K — 03 Jul 2010
Morally reprehensible, boring art porn for the dispassionate rich. Swinton turns in a fantastic performance as always, but necessarily hollow because like every other character in this film, no time is invested in showing her motivation.
Much of the film's praise lauds its imagery, which is a shame because it's full of self-consciously arty shots which exist for no reason other than to draw attention to themselves. The soundtrack is truly beautiful, and belongs in a better film.
