Review of I Am Love (2010) by Samuel K — 26 Nov 2012
First off, there's a level of sophistication that I am not used to in cinema so when I say that this wasn't my type of movie, I am not denying its brilliance or quality. It's a beautifully shot Italian movie with an amazing score by John Adams.
It's about a wealthy family in Milan that go thru drastic changes. There's an ambiance of wealth and indulgence that carries itself throughout the film and was captured remarkably. The plot centers on the mother and her affair with her son's friend.
Pretty twisted situation but I dug the plot and how it ended. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting a good (Italian) melodrama.
