Review of I Am Love (2010) by Meril L — 05 Jul 2010
It's not often that I have a strong emotional reaction to a movie, but I certainly did to Io sono l'amore. I found it slow getting started, and had to get used to the cinematography (I guess I've been watching too many Hollywood movies; here, the cinematography is a character itself, and purposefully sticks out), but I always love a slow build, and this movie, melodramatic though it may be, peaks perfectly.
The last scene, with over-the-top musical cues, is exquisite.
