Review of I Am Love (2010) by Douglas D — 21 Feb 2011
Ah, another movie about bored rich people. Like the characters, I was bored throughout.
Only in the final minutes did the music quicken, did anything of note occur, and did anyone feel anything at all. With a two hour run time, 'I Am Love's' final 15 minutes just simply aren't worth sitting through the other 105. Not even the costumes, which are nominated for an academy award, live up to their billing. The acting isn't bad, but it doesn't shine even when it has the chance, I didn't care for the camera work, and I thought the film looked a bit dated much of the time.
If you're thinking of seeing this film, I would implore you not to. Simply put, there are just too many other great films that you should see before even thinking of tasting this Italian stock.
