Review of I Am Love (2010) by Eric H — 30 May 2012
"I Am Love" is a grand, sprawling epic of a story of a film looks and feels like an artisit meticulously painting a pic...read moreture with gorgeous cinematography and heightening music to add to each scene.
Composer John Adams relentlessly captures the highs and lows of Emma's every heartbeat. Intoxicating and stunning as it all sounds, I Am Love puts the melo back in melodrama with a forced abrupt predictable end and the love affair feels like a one night stand.
The beauty of the film is meticulously crafted and Swinton is amazing as ever. The down fall, is everything is too carefully placed. What should seem natural comes off as forced.
