Exciting drama of the 1930s. Chain gang must have been dreary. Reminiscent of Shawshank Redemption and Cool Hand Luke which sprang from this genre. Quote: "There are no musts...I'm free, white and 21.
" I saw a chain gang just a few years ago, so it seems that movieland has been unsuccessful in it's elimination as a punishment.
