Review of Hush (2016) by Riff J — 11 May 2016
A refreshing take on the horror thriller genre. A very strong performance by lead Kate Siegal who play a mute deaf women is riveting to watch. The cat and mouse action is excellently paced through out with only a few hiccups. The only problem I had with this movie was the casting decision and character Trucco portrayed. He did a well enough job as the antagonist but I was wanting more, there was no motive behind what he was doing and he was kind of a pussy. There wasn't enough crazy in the villain to justify him not having a motive. I feel as if somebody could of knocked it out of the park like Siegals' character did. That and the scene when the neighbors husband comes to save the day. That felt so out of place and goofy in this tense thrill ride.
Still overall a surprisingly good movie with great pacing and characters. The ending was satisfying and enjoyable and had me on the edge of my seat. Definitely worth the watch.
