Review of Hush (2016) by Onur G — 29 Jul 2016
When a film comes out on Netflix you would be forgiven into thinking it will be pretty awful and not worth your time, but this one is fairly decent. The premise is simple, a deaf woman is terrorised by a psycho killer in her own home, but she obviously cant hear him, but uses what she can to survive as long as she can.
It was unsettling and tense in some scenes, the run time helps, at just 80 minutes long it doesn't get drawn out or dull. My only real complaint is that you don't really get a sense of who this psycho is, or why he's attacking her.
.. which is a shame, but if that was explained, it could've been a bad move, depending on what they came up for him. There are a few cringe inducing moments regarding the violence, but nothing too horrific.
Its a short thriller that's definitely worth a watch.
