Review of Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016) by James D — 28 May 2016
I don't know how a film about death, acceptance, and trying to find a place in a hostile world can be so funny and yet so honest, but Wilderpeople is. It's hilarious, and yet it makes space for moments of genuine sadness and pathos, never feeling crowded or inconsistent.
It's a remarkable film, and entertaining as hell.
