Nowadays movies get remade over and over again. It's hard to find original gems like this movie. It gets 5 stars from me purely because it offers that dry but crack up kiwi humour that director Taika knows all too well.
It's the perfect balance between humour, family and coming of age. One of the best movies to come out of New Zealand along with Boy.
