It's a fun movie, with lots of quirkiness and silliness, but the problem I had with it, is it had been overhyped as RIDICULOUSLY funny, and considering Taiki's previous film about vampires was 100% ridiculously funny, and hearing from others that it's a highlight of great comedy, ended up being a let down for me, probably due to expectation.
There are few films that made me laugh OUT LOUD constantly, like Taika's previous film, "what we do in the shadows", and this film, although cute, doesn't hit the same funny bone as his previous one.
