An epic film that follows a variety of pioneers during their trek westward. The film was shot in an insane 2.89:1 Cinerama widescreen aspect ratio, which had three projectors running on a really wide curved screen.
The Blu-Ray has a "smile box" version of the film that actually somewhat recreates how the curved screen would have looked like...especially if you sit two feet from your TV. With the clarity of the Blu-Ray, you can, I did, and it almost looked 3D.
Very cool indeed...
