Not really scary, but really campy. I think we are missing out because we don't get to experience the stunts and gimmicks that castle's would set up in theaters while the movie was playing. the skeleton coming out of the acid pit was hilarious and the way it "forced" vincent price's wife in there was priceless (pun intended).
