Review of House on Haunted Hill (1959) by Larissa N — 29 May 2011
With more treats than tricks, House on Haunted Hill in some ways reminded me of the Saw series. A horror film all about turning death into a puzzle-like game...that doesn't turn out well. Kudos to the writers of the film and to director William Castle, because being someone who takes pride in usually being able to predict plot twists, I found myself scratching my head and wondering "who the HELL is the killer?".
"The Ghosts are waiting, so why don't you join in the House on Haunted Hill?".
