Review of House of Sand and Fog (2003) by Siouxsie S — 14 Mar 2008

I "love" this movie. I felt so torn between the characters and my sympathy changed all through film. Connelly and Beharanis wife(oh, beautiful creature Connelly) had my sympathy most of the time, though. All the characters has their own problems and sadness and all of them are trying to make the right things in all the wrong ways.

Excellent acting from all actors involved. I can feel the desperation, sadness and hopefullness...all the time. All the traumas during the film touches me deeply. One loss is greater than the other and depression of different kind are like a red thread through the movie. The last 20 minutes is like a small punch in the stomach. A must see!
