This is a fantastic but tragic movie. Maybe the first half of the movie is the best as second half it gets a little strange towards the end. The actors make bizarre decisions. A sad climax but why the father did what he did at the end.
I am not sure but being Iranian and Islamic I think it was a major sin against the Islamic faith. Jennifer Connelly is one of the worlds most beautiful actresses and she acted slightly stoned throughout but great.
The stand out is Ben Kingsley he seems to be good in everything he does. It is slow though, I wouldn't recommend this for repeated viewing. its tragic what happens. All through one clerical mistake.
Still great movie.
