Perelman's adaptation of the novel is one of the better novel adaptions i've seen. The source is a bleak, heavy handed drama of culture clash and selfishness and the film captures it beautifully.
The ASTONISHING performance from Shoreh Aghdashloo is so restrained and pitch perfect, along with a stunning Ben Kingsley and ever reliable Jennifer Connelly make this film a must see. Not for the light hearted but a film that will stay with you long after it finishes.
