I'll admit it, I was a little hesitant of this movie when I saw the cover, but after the opening sequence, I was totally sold. This is the parody movie of parody movies, where Jim Abrahams recognizes that it is totally ridiculous but is having too much fun with it to really care.
Don't expect to have any type of emotional catharsis watching Hot Shots, expect lots and lots of superficial laughter.
