The hilarity continues in Hot Shots! Part Deux, a parody film based on Rambo. When a hostage situation arises in Iraq, Topper Harley is recruited to lead a rescue mission. In addition to the Rambo films, there are parodies of Basic Instinct, T2, Hunt for Red October, Lady and the Tramp, and Star Wars.
The humor's a little broader and more slapsticky than in the first film, but there are still some clever and outrageously funny comedy bits. Hot Shots! Part Deux may not be as witty or well-written as the original, but it still delivers plenty of laughs.
