Review of Horsemen (2009) by Ricky R — 11 Jul 2009
This movie was much better than I expected it to be. Dennis Quaid did pretty well whith what he was given and in the end offered a pretty emotional performance. Still, the show was stolen by the barely there Eric Balfour who delivered quite the emotional punch in his few scenes.
While it was predictable (I had most of the ending figured out well in advance) it did offer a few twists that were unpleasant. The plot was skimped on a bit as there could have been more to the story and when details started emerging I was left wondering exactly what this mastermind of a serial killer was trying to accomplish.
It wasn't overly gory (some gross after the fact stuff) but there were a couple scenes that I could have done without seeing. It isn't a superb thriller but it gets the job done and I was entertained.
