Review of Horsemen (2009) by Yassine R — 02 Aug 2013

I actually enjoyed watching this movie although I was quite disappointed by the predictable nature of some of the plot twists. I usually don't watch too many thrillers but this one was recommended so I gave it a shot.

Quaid is alright, and pulls the movie together in the end but it constantly felt like I was watching a movie that had been shot with budget issues and unexpected constraints... it feels a little cheap.

.. lacks context.. I'm sad that the city of Detroit, the myth, wasn't used as much as it could have been. Definitely watchable and gripping, just didn't blow my mind, didn't punch me in the gut.
