Review of Horsemen (2009) by Randy S — 10 Sep 2009
After seeing this and 'The Unborn' this year with both being produced by Michael Bay, I have determined that his company Platinum Dunes needs to stick with remaking old horror movies into stellar cinema.
Both 'Horsemen' and 'The Unborn' were the first ventures for Platinum Dunes into making films with original stories. Neither had the pizzazz of their remakes such as 'Friday the 13th' or 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
' Although there is two huge differences between this and 'The Unborn,' in that 'Horsemen' is competently made and has a great cast. Actually, the concept is rather interesting, however the story leaves you hanging and in the end there lot to be desired.
At times it feels like 'Seven' without being brilliant.
