Review of Horror Express (1972) by David P — 24 Mar 2012
This was on TCM last night. How could I not watch it again? When I was a kid this movie scared the crap out of me. I've seen it dozens of times since and it still holds up as one of the great European horror movies of the 1970s.
Horror Express has everything I could ever want and more with Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, religious mania, a living fossil, brain draining, eye gouging, body hoping, zombies eerie music that is both a part of the story as well as the soundtrack, a plausible science fiction plot development and an appearance by Telly Savalas to liven things up and push the plot towards its inevitable and spectacular conclusion.
