Review of Hoosiers (1986) by Josh B — 14 Jan 2009
Gene Hackman plays a coach who comes to a small town in the middle of nowhere to coach basketball in the 1950's.
I've seen this type of sports movie before but, this one was done better and before the rest of them and Gene Hackman doesn't come across as a pillar of inspiration. He's just a guy doing a job the best way he knows how with the kids under his instruction.
