Review of Hoodwinked! (2005) by Erica H — 31 May 2010
Took me a while to get it, but this is quite a movie. Script makes up for the poorer animation technique but, (strangely), that has improved with age as others have released films with purposely lower animated standards than Pixar and Dreamworks, since it's release in 2006.
The standard of voice work, script, story-telling good enough for an adult audience and cultural references beyond Fairy tales, such as the Fletch-styled wolf, put this ahead of it time by 3-4 years, so it's good to see it's finally getting it's sequel.
I hated it in 2006, but I've completely changed my mind after a 2010 second viewing. Splendid stuff!
