Boy are there some dumb comments about this movie, and clearly a lot of critics made up their mind in advance. Yes, it is low budget animation--so what? And no, Shrek did not invent the idea of parody.
If you can get over those two notions you'll find a pretty funny movie. My wife and I laughed as much as our kids (10 and 7). Forget the animation snobs and just go--you'll enjoy it.
