Review of Holy Motors (2012) by Carlos G — 29 Jun 2013
I did NOT like it. I didn't hate it either, but I just don't appreciate a movie that has no message whatsoever, and is completely up to the viewers' interpretation. As Emil K wrote, the only scene that makes sense is Kyle Minogue's, everything else is just random stories with no linking concept, except for Mr Oscar and cigarette smoking.
Visually good, Denis Lavant's performance is extraordinary, but I was expecting something like "La Cité Des Enfants Perdus", which I loved. It wasn't the case.
