Review of Holy Motors (2012) by Jherinson A — 17 Dec 2012
The plot of this movie is practically to have no plot. I was fairly impressed with the quality and production value of Holy Motors; but, with as much money as it seems went into this movie, you would think that they would have been able to afford themselves a writer. With the scenes being so wildly random, their incoherency honestly border lined madness. I'm not sure if the nostalgia of 1920 French silent film and cryptic "birth to death" motif is worth the film's lack of plot.
At the end of the day what really concerns me is the whopping 90% the critics have rated this movie thus far. Did they not notice this film is David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis without a plot and <3<3 Eva Mendes <3<3?
