Review of Hollywoodland (2006) by Patrick F — 12 Jan 2009
This is a movie for moviegeeks like myself. In someways this is a formidable film. Allen Coulter makes a great mystery/thriller about the suicide of Superman actor George Reeves (excellent played by Ben Affleck, where did the Oscarnomination go?).
We have always known about that suicide, but after this movie we are not sure anymore. I love when a great movie plays with my mind. And I must say this one more time to all the Affleck-haters out there.
He is superb as Reeves. He really looks like him and acts on it. Two big thumbs up.
