Review of Hollywoodland (2006) by Pete D — 23 Jan 2008
Paris, Je T'aime is an interesting experiment exploring the various districts of Paris, and while many of the love stories are excellent, some either don't fit the mold or are really just crap.
Hollywoodland looks at the controversial death of 1950s Superman actor, George Reeves. Affleck is awful. There Will Be Blood is a thoroughly excellent emotional roller-coaster ride through the life of a turn-of-the-century oil entrepreneur.
Some of the plot is convoluted, though the acting and cinematography are superb.
