Review of Hollywoodland (2006) by Broken H — 08 Jun 2008
Hollywoodland is in an intersting tale of the suspicious death of George Reeves, the actor who portrayed Superman in the original television series. The story is quite interesting, but I this movie is missing something. I very much enjoyed the look and feel of the film-the details are amazing and the look and feel of the 50's is hard to top. I also enjoyed Brody's performance, but found Ben Affleck a bit harder to believe. I think he tried his best, but somewhere in his depiction of this charcter, too much of Ben Affleck emerges. I will concede that this might be as result of the media's constant overexposure of Ben Affleck.
Not too shabby.
