Review of Hogfather (2007) by Alex Y — 01 Mar 2008
Brilliantly adapted! Although awesome in its own right I don't know if they quite cast the voice of "all caps" quite right for my ear but wow anyway. Pratchett is such an interesting beast.
He can be very funny, but also wholly tiresome in his humor which can grate like eating six pints of ice cream in one continuous sitting. Without the narrative voice though, it is fascinating how the satirical elements of the work come to life and the more overt, wonderfully British circular word dancing sort of shows itself out much more subtly without being ground in by the text between the dialog.
Anyways...watch this. It's great.
