Review of New Gods: Nezha Reborn (2021) by Kordau — 28 Jan 2022

I would've rated this higher, but the English script just sounded too odd at times. I can't help thinking some of the story was lost in translation.. For example, the dialogue from when Li speaks directly to Nezha made me think, "WTF? Is that really what he said?".

The animation was pretty good and the action/fight scenes were also quite good. So it's not bad, despite the oddities in the script. I imagine it would've been much better if I understood Mandarin.

On Netflix, the normal English subtitles are VERY out of sync, and basically unusable. The English Closed Caption subtitles are in sync, though.
