I really wanted to like this, but the film tried way too hard to be like a grindhouse film, and a lot of the violence seemed over-the-top and contrived. Rutger Hauer is very good, and there are some decent action scenes, but it just doesn't create an entertaining grindhouse experience such as Planet Terror or Machete.
